What is ISOfix?
The ISOfix system is a new standard for the safer attachment of child car seats. The system consists of solid metal anchors that are located between the seat back and cushion in the car and forms part of the chassis itself. If you have decided to use the ISOfix system then your child car seat will secure directly to the ISOfix anchor points using a click-in system.
What are the benefits of using ISOfix?
Using an ISOfix system means you don’t have to use the seat belt to secure the car seat which reduces the risk of incorrect fitting. Whilst all our car seats are safe, ISOfix is the best option if you have ISOfix anchorage points in your car.
How do I know if I have fitted the ISOfix correctly?
BeSafe car seats have indicators that show when the seat is fitted correctly.
Is my car compatible?
Many major car manufacturers now fit ISOfix as standard into new cars. Even if your car is not ISOfix compatible all BeSafe’s car seats can be used with the seat belt function.
