The history of fsid and grobag

Read about our 10 year partnership with FSID...
In 2000 The Gro Company began working with The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID), a leading baby charity working to prevent sudden infant deaths and promote baby health. We started out wanting to create a safe alternative to sheets and blankets which met FSID’s guidelines and all UK safety regulations and British Standards. 10 years on we have a wonderful partnership with FSID, and are proud to have funded over £500,000 of their safe sleep research to date.
As a result of our continued dedication to safety, Grobag is FSID’s recommended baby sleep bag.
Joyce Epstein, Director, FSID, said: " We are delighted to be working with The Gro Company in what is our 10th year of collaboration.” " Not only do the Grobag Baby Sleep Bags meet all our requirements in terms of their design and construction, but we appreciate the extra steps that have been taken to ensure their sleep bags are used correctly by parents. For example, the free room thermometer that is supplied with every Grobag Baby Sleep Bag helps parents protect their baby from the dangers of overheating.” " Grobag was the first dedicated Baby Sleep Bag manufacturer to come to us and ask for extensive help in the development of their products and we look forward to working with them for many years to come. "
To find out more about the vital research that FSID conduct, watch this touching video featuring Emma Smith, a supporter of FSID whose baby daughter Maisy tragically passed away.
More than 19,000 lives have been saved as a result of FSID’s research and health awareness projects. Cot death is rare, but we want to do everything we can to help make it extinct. If you would like to help too, visit www.fsid.org.uk to donate.
